Viviana Gatta

I´m Viviana Gatta and I was born in Napoli, in the south of Italy. I´obtained my Bachelor´s degree in Biomolecular and Industrial Biotechnology from University of Naples « Federico II » in 2012 and then I continued my studies at University of Rome « Sapienza » where I graduated in Medical Biotechnology in 2015 with a thesis concerning synthesis and carachterization of metallic nanoparticles for biomedical application. I had also the opportunity to spend time abroad during my master thesis, when I worked on the development of FRET based biosensors at Jagelonnian University of Krakow, and after that, when I was awarded the Erasmus + Unipharma Graduates fellowship to pursue an intership at the University Descartes of Paris where my intereste was focused on chemical synthesis of an agonist probe for opioid receptors heterodimerization.

Since my ambition is to work at the interface between chemistry and biology, I´m really entusiasthic to be involved in the INTEGRATE project and to take care of the systematic bioactivity avaluation of potential antibacterial agents in vitro as ESR at University of Helsinki.
