Elisa Sassetti

Elisa Sassetti  is a Ph.D. student working at Fraunhofer-IME of Hamburg. She is part of the INTEGREATE-ETN ESR9 project, working on identification and optimization of covalent inhibitors of ClpP using in silico and in vitro approaches.

Elisa obtained her bachelor degree in Biological Science at the University of  Florence. As bachelor  apprenticeship she worked at the Microbial and Molecular Evolution Laboratory of the same university, where she produced her bachelor thesis entitled " Characterization of Acquarossa river bacterial communities".

Elisa continued her studies at University of Florence with a master degree  in Biology (Molecular and Cellular biology Curriculum). She performed an internship at the University of Cambridge (department of Genetics), studiyng the indole signalling in Escherichia coli.
