Carlos Moreno-Cinos

Carlos Moreno-Cinos was born in Valencia (Spain) in 1991. In 2009, he started his 5-year Degree in Chemistry at the University of Valencia.

During his studies, Carlos worked as a laboratory assistant in the Santos Fustero research group within the Pharmacological Organic Chemistry section.  In the fifth year of the Degree (2013-14), he carried out the research project: “Directed Aziridine Ring-Opening Reactions” under the supervision of Pr. Donald Craig at the Imperial College of London under the Erasmus Exchange Program.

In 2014, Carlos obtained his 5-year Degree with the Extraordinary prize and started a Citius Fellowship in the Janssen Pharmaceutica (Johnson&Johnson) site in Toledo, where he worked in the Neuroscience section for a year.

The 1st of October of 2015 he started his PhD in the Medicinal Chemistry Group of the UAntwerpen under the supervision of Pr. Koen Augustyns, where he carries out his research in the “Design, synthesis and characterization of novel modulators of ClpP proteases from Gram‐negative bacteria" within the ETN Integrate Project.
